PATITAS, a twi-hard?

Judging by today's behavior, it is probably very apparent that Patitas is, indeed, a twi-hard. Much to her dismay.

Patitas has read all five books. Yes, that includes the 'Short Life of Bree Tanner' novella released earlier this year. And Patitas has loved them all, some more than other, but all none the less. 

Many argue that the Twilight series should not even be considered literature, and that the writing is poor at best. But, considering Patitas is foreign, she probably doesn't know better. Yeah, we'll go with that excuse.

Patitas is well aware the the movies suck. To put it mildly.  But the curiosity, to see the book play out in the big screen and compare it to what it looked like in Patitas head, is too much to pass on.

This curiosity is what has made Patitas watch, time and again, the Twilight movies. Patitas mercilessly shreds the acting to pieces and is a little more forgiving on the visual effects. But still, Patitas has to watch the movies when they come out. At the movie theater.

Which brings us to today.  The day that defined Patitas as a twi-hard. The day that Patitas ditched work at 1pm to go watch Eclipse on opening day.

Yeah. Patitas is a twi-hard.

PATITAS and the iPhone 4

The day began with Patitas going to the Apple Store at 6:20 am, to stand in line and buy an iPhone, the iPhone, the iPhone 4.

It was obvious ahead of time that the line would be ridiculous, and that many a geek would be camping from the night before.

However, after only an hour, the actual store was in sight. Better yet, the store was 40 feet away. Ooooh the anticipation.

Could Patitas get the iPhone and make it to work on time. Sweeeet!

At 8:30 they are ushering us into the Store.  "This might actually work!" said Patitas under her breath.

Except, it was all a ploy. A ploy I tell you!. A ploy to give you false hope. A ploy to make you think you are almost home free. 

Because once you are in, in, you have no choice but to stay.

and then.... two more lines!

one on the ground floor, and another on the 2nd floor.

Patitas left the Apple store at 10 am.
